Meet the team

Bro. John Coleman came in June of 2000 to serve as our lead pastor.  He and his wife,  "Miss Denise" have two grown children; Rachel and Matt and four grandchildren; Bane, Bo, Kyleigh, and Avery!  Bro. John is an avid outdoorsman and he enjoys hunting, fishing and woodworking.  Miss Denise recently retired from Gibson County Special School District where she taught Elementary music and High School vocal performance.  Bro. John has a heart for missions and that makes for a perfect match with the New Bethlehem Baptist Church and their long legacy of mission support!  Bro. John, who is a graduate of Union University in Jackson TN is very conservative in his theology and preaches the authority of God's word from the pulpit.  When asked about a life verse and his perspective on life, Bro. John says: "I love the word of God and I have many passages that I hold onto for direction and purpose."  "I believe God placed us in this world to give ourselves away!  We all need servant hearts!" 

Meet our minister of music, Jared Poore. He and his family of five have been serving the saints at New Bethlehem since October the 9th 2016. “It’s a great place to worship, fellowship and serve our Lord, Jesus.” Jared and his family are pictured here; His wife Megan and their three daughters Jules, Micah and Aubri. t massa.
